Oh yeah! Another year and another Seahawks 12k Run event! This year I didn’t run (first tri precautions) but I did walk with Ate Liz and Christyne on the 5k course.. Was good to get out and do it and not miss the chance to get out and be active.. Ran into some peeps along the way and caught up a little 🙂 Hopefully next year I can get back on track.. even if it means doing the 5k again 🙂

After all the training runs, stretching, pain, cramps, fun runs, gear and miles, another Rock N Roll Half marathon has been completed!
This was probably the best weather I have seen for the half and I am glad to have completed it and look forward to how well I can do next year. It was awesome to see so many people come out for this race and the masses of supporters.
Thanks to Bro for being the driver and comedic relief for the day.. Also thanks for pushing my leg to its limit and making me cry.. I know I needed to do it otherwise I could have made it worse, so thank you for not giving into my tears and just stretching the ish out of that muscle.
Thanks to Seestar for being the driving force in these marathon shenanigans.. You’re impressive collection of medals, your knowledge of tips and tricks and your sheer determination to keep going always reminds me that “The miracle isn’t that you finished. The miracle is that you had the courage to start…”
Thanks to my bebe for sticking with me through the entire course. You could have gone on ahead, but you chose not to. Even with no training you did it and we experienced it together. I wouldn’t have it any other way and I thank you and love you for all your work.
I saw what my potential was for this half and I look forward to those of next year… For all those people that run – Keep it going! For all those afraid to try… Its not as intimidating as you think! Always try!
10 days left before 13.1 miles of blaaaaaah. BLAH! 3 miles on monday.. 4 miles today.. will try to up it to 6 by friday, with some strength training between. I feel like i ran more last year to train and this year has gone to shit because of my lazy bum.. That and busy with all sorts of things. Anyway.. it will soon be over. O_O

How cute is that? Google honors the “Where the wild things are” author by creating a doodle that plays on the google homepage. 🙂 Happy 85th Birthday Maurice Sendak! That was an awesome book when I was a kid.. wish more books were written like yours 🙂 I hope some of you guys saw it.. was a super cute animation that went from the beginning of the book to the end with a little birthday cake for Mr. Sendak. 🙂

Time for a night time run.. At least the weather is getting better for it. It wasnt too cold, but I still had a hoodie on for the duration of the run. Simple route this time. Just gotta keep active and with the activity its getting easier. The busier I am, the better I feel.. I almost feel invincible. I remember a friend of mine sharing a picture that was just a small list of work out moves to do.. I’ve decided to start that every day and add a squat challenge to it as well. We’ll see how that all goes. I’m still debating on if I want to post before and after pictures.. I’ll have to think about that for now.
I did the workout routine when I woke up this morning and I was AMPED for the rest of the day. I didn’t feel tired or lazy after work.. I did my workout, went to work, went to UW and studied a little SQL, then took care of some financial responsibilities for PNI, went to the south end to check on the house.. then to Alki and STILL did my run even if it was late. I feel like I earned my dinner and my sleep.. On a random side note.. does anyone know what sumo squats are? LOL! I just improvised and did what I thought it was (lower version of a squat). Such a funny name.. I couldn’t stop giggling when I was doing it.. I was expecting to accidentally fart or something. O_O

Another fun run that Tania put together.. Was a rather hilly course and a little later in the morning so that was something to get used to. There were a ton of different costumes that people were wearing so that made for some awesome people watching.. I especially liked the Juan Carlo guy running around with his gold daisy dukes and mini sombrero.. lol! Tacos at the end and refreshingly ice cold coke from a bottle.. yum!
